Learn French Fluently - The Formal vs The Informal Grammar

As you learn French fast, you will discover in your conversations in French, the type of dialogue exchanged will be dependent on how the French people interact with you. You can start by introducing yourself and other people to each other to begin developing an ease with dialogues.

There are two ways of addressing a person or a group of people directly in French: formal and informal greeting.

The formal code is used:
* when you are asking for anything in the goods and services institutions
* as you meet new people or a stranger
* as a sign of respect to people who are figures of authority
* when speaking to another person's family memembers who are much older than you such as parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc..

The informal code is used when you are speaking to your friends, your own parents, siblings and children.
